For Christmas, my mother got me a “Spanish Phrase-A-Day” calendar.  As some of you know, I enjoyed Spanish 101 last term but won’t be able to take another Spanish class for a while due to the impending arrival.  So, I thought it was a nice gift.

Now I’m wondering about it!

Here is today’s quote for the day:

No te enamores de mí. No traigo más que problemas. (Don’t fall in love with me.  I’m bad news.)

Friday, September 25 – Lo siento, pero no me interesas. (I’m sorry but I’m not interested.  I guess you say that to people who aren’t from Argentina!)

Sunday, December 13 – Busco ropa interior. (I’m looking for underwear).

Um, yeah….I wonder what kind of Spanish my mother thinks I need to learn!
