At my parents’ place, it’s pretty much FoxNews all the time.  Myself, I’m a CNN/MSNBC kind of girl (and, really, I think we should be watching MSNBC right now out of respect for Tim Russert, but oh well!), so I’ve had to escape to the web to get some non-”fair and balanced” news lately.

A recent visit to MSNBC has convinced me to add a new blog to the blogroll!

Apparently, Meghan McCain’s gift to her dad was changing her party affiliation from Independent to Republican.  I have to say, this is a heck of a lot cheaper than what I got my dad, but to each their own.  MSNBC picked this up off her blog and, since I’m always up for checking out new blogs, I headed on over.

I will admit that I was a little scared.  I don’t especially like politically-themed blogs and was afraid that this would fall into that category.  Instead, Meghan McCain has a delightful and refreshingly agenda-free recording of day to day fun (yes! FUN!  on the MCCAIN campaign!) on the trail.  In fact, her post about changing her political affiliation is the most political post there, as far as I can see.  She may say something like,”My dad had a town hall in Memphis.  Then we went to Graceland.  I loved Graceland!  Looks at all my pictures!”  This, like all her posts, would be followed by candid pictures ONLY a daughter could post and, of course, the song of the day.

About a month ago, she had a post answering questions people had been asking her.  Here are some of the actual questions:

Meghan, which of your mother’s outfits is you favorite? I’m partial to the primary night yellow suit.

What kind of perfume do you like to wear?

I was wondering what you do for your skin/makeup/hair routine to always looks so fabulous given long days a hectic travel schedule. I’m sure staying hydrated helps but the campaign life must be so crazy and yet you never look worn out…what’s your secret?!

Do the flight attendants on your charter plane go through all the pre-flight instructions with you EVERY SINGLE TIME?  Have you ever offered to give the pre-flight instructions?

Great fun for Republicans, Democrats, Independent, and Libertarians alike!  Members of the Constitutional party might not understand it.

To be fair and bipartisan, I would also have Obama’s daughters’ blog as well but I don’t think they have blogs (seeing as they are like 8 years old).
